Islamabad, May 18, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday chaired the closing session of the Regional Envoys’ Conference held in Islamabad from May 14 to 18.

According to the Foreign Office, the conference reviewed comprehensive deliberations and key recommendations formulated during discussions held over the past several days.

In his concluding remarks, Dar underscored Pakistan’s longstanding, historic and brotherly relations with the Gulf countries and reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to further strengthening partnerships across political, economic, and people-to-people domains.

The deputy prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to enhance economic engagement with regional partners while continuing efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

Highlighting the importance of overseas Pakistanis, Dar said the welfare of the Pakistani diaspora living in Gulf countries and other parts of the world remained a top priority of the government.

He also emphasized Pakistan’s constructive and facilitative role in promoting regional peace and stability, stressing the need for sustained diplomatic engagement and coordination.

During the session, Dar directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of missions, and relevant ministries to maintain close coordination, pursue proactive diplomacy, and ensure effective follow-up on the conference recommendations.
