Islamabad, May 21, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday described the relationship between Pakistan and China as a unique example in international diplomacy, reaffirming the enduring strength of the two countries’ c on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

In a message issued to mark the occasion, Ishaq Dar extended heartfelt felicitations to the peoples of Pakistan and China, saying the relationship between the two nations was rooted in mutual respect, trust, and shared aspirations.

“Today, that journey has evolved into a unique All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. Our relationship stands as a singular example in international diplomacy — defined not by transactional convenience, but by ironclad trust and brotherhood,” he stated.

The Deputy Prime Minister said Pakistan and China had consistently stood by each other through various challenges over the past 75 years, safeguarding each other’s core interests with unwavering solidarity.

He also expressed deep appreciation for the visionary leadership of both countries in strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing strategic communication.

“The Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership has withstood the test of time and developed from strength to strength in multifaceted fields,” he remarked.

Highlighting the people-centric nature of bilateral relations, Ishaq Dar said the friendship between Pakistan and China was deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of the peoples of both countries. He acknowledged the role played by leaders, businessmen, entrepreneurs, professionals, and students in cementing bilateral ties across generations and governments.

The foreign minister also appreciated the contributions of Chinese companies, engineers, workers, and professionals working in Pakistan, particularly under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative.

He termed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor a cornerstone of bilateral economic cooperation and a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative, noting that it had significantly transformed Pakistan’s infrastructure and energy sectors over the past decade.

Referring to the second phase of CPEC, Ishaq Dar said the renewed focus on industrialization, agricultural modernization, and socio-economic development would contribute to improving livelihoods and promoting shared prosperity.

In the context of global geopolitical challenges, the Deputy Prime Minister said the strategic convergence between Pakistan and China offered much-needed stability.

“Our collaboration in multilateral forums, based on our shared commitment to justice, fairness, multilateralism, and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, remains a cornerstone of our bilateral relationship,” he said.

He added that the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China would continue to serve as an anchor of peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.

Expressing confidence in the future of bilateral ties, Ishaq Dar said the Pakistan-China “Iron-Clad Brotherhood” would continue to grow stronger with time.

“Let us continue to work together, carry forward this brotherly friendship, and forge an even closer China-Pakistan relationship for a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous world,” he concluded.
