Islamabad, May 24, 2026: On Saturday, a football match among the staff members of the diplomatic mission was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan dedicated to the celebration of Tajik Youth Day and World Football Day.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Yusuf Sharifzoda, delivered a congratulatory speech and extended his greetings to the participants on the occasion of Tajik Youth Day and World Football Day.
In his remarks, he emphasized that youth represent the driving force of society and the future of the state, while their support remains one of the priority directions of the state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was noted that under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Emomali Rahmon, special attention is being paid to youth development, patriotic education, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, and advancement of sports.
The Ambassador also noted in connection with World Football Day that today the international community proudly celebrates the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan, which was supported by the United Nations.
It was emphasized that this initiative reflects Tajikistan’s active role in promoting the values of sports, peace, and international solidarity.
