Eight terrorists killed in intelligence-based operations in Balochistan: ISPR

Rawalpindi, June 27, 2026: Security forces killed eight terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in the Kharan and Mastung districts of Balochistan on June 25 and 26 as part of Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

According to the military’s media wing, the operations targeted militants described as belonging to the Indian proxy group “Fitna Al Hindustan.”

The first operation was carried out on June 25 in Kharan district after security forces received intelligence regarding the movement of a group of terrorists. During a precise and coordinated engagement, three terrorists were killed, while several others were injured.

In a second intelligence-based operation on June 26 in Mastung district, security forces acted on information about the possible presence of a suicide bomber. Following an intense exchange of fire, five terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were killed.

The ISPR said security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and motorcycles used by the militants.

Sanitisation operations are continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining militants, the statement added.

Reaffirming its resolve, the military said Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their relentless counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, to eradicate what it described as foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
