Islamabad, July 13, 2026: The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) on Monday sealed an illegal drug manufacturing facility in Islamabad and seized a large quantity of unlicensed veterinary and human medicines during an enforcement operation.
According to DRAP, the raid was carried out on the directions of Chief Executive Officer Dr. Obaidullah Malik and Director of Quality Assurance and Laboratory Testing (QA<) Zeeshan Nazir.
The joint enforcement team comprised Additional Director Tehreem Sara of the Field Intelligence Division (FID), Deputy Directors SanaUllah Babar, Ishtiaq Shafiq and Malik Asad.
During the operation at an illegal manufacturing facility in Ghouri Town, Islamabad, the team discovered an unlicensed and unregistered unit engaged in the production of veterinary and human medicines.
Officials recovered a substantial quantity of finished pharmaceutical products, along with raw materials and packaging materials intended for the manufacture of both veterinary and human drugs.
The premises were sealed on the spot, and the entire stock was confiscated in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
DRAP said further investigations are underway and legal proceedings have been initiated against those responsible for operating the illegal manufacturing facility.
