Islamabad, July 19, 2026: Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand will undertake an official visit to Pakistan on July 20 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday.
The visit will be Anand’s first to Pakistan since assuming office as Canada’s foreign minister.
During the visit, Dar and Anand will hold bilateral talks covering the full spectrum of Pakistan-Canada relations. The discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in trade and investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges, while the two ministers will also exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
According to the Foreign Office, Minister Anand will also call on Pakistan’s leadership during her visit.
Pakistan and Canada enjoy cordial bilateral relations underpinned by strong people-to-people ties and a vibrant Pakistani diaspora in Canada. The visit reflects the shared commitment of both countries to further expand cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
