Islamabad, August 4, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar will travel to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Tuesday night to participate in the Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem, scheduled to be held in Amman on August 5.

According to the Foreign Office, the meeting is being convened at the invitation of Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al Safadi.

The ministerial meeting will bring together foreign ministers from member states of the Arab League and a number of Islamic countries, including Pakistan, to formulate a coordinated response to the rapidly deteriorating situation in occupied Jerusalem.

During the visit, the participating foreign ministers are also scheduled to call on Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Ishaq Dar is expected to hold bilateral meetings with participating foreign ministers to discuss regional developments, particularly the situation in Palestine, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

The Foreign Office said the deputy prime minister’s participation reflects Pakistan’s longstanding support for the Palestinian people and its commitment to the establishment of an independent, sovereign and contiguous State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Pakistan has consistently called for a peaceful resolution of the Palestine issue in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions and international law, while reiterating its support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
