Islamabad, August 10, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday received Ambassador of Azerbaijan Khazar Farhadov for a farewell call, appreciating his contribution to strengthening the longstanding and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, Dar commended Ambassador Farhadov’s efforts during his tenure in Pakistan and wished him success in his future assignment. He also conveyed his best wishes and personal regards to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed the importance Pakistan attaches to its close and multifaceted relationship with Azerbaijan, stressing the need to continue building on the strong foundations of bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Farhadov thanked Dar for his support and cooperation during his diplomatic tenure. He also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts towards promoting durable peace and stability in the region.
The meeting underscored the close political and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and the shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
