Islamabad, August 10, 2026: The Health Services Academy (HSA), Islamabad, has successfully completed recruitment screening and digital knowledge and skill assessments for 85 technical and support positions across 21 categories under the Health Information & Service Delivery Unit (HISDU) of the Health Department, Government of Balochistan.
A total of 2,914 candidates applied for the advertised positions, of whom 681 were shortlisted and 360 ultimately appeared in the final knowledge and practical skill assessments conducted from August 3 to 6.
A major feature of the four-day recruitment exercise was HSA’s fully digital and paperless testing system. The platform enabled candidate verification through secure QR codes and automated machine-based processing, with results for each paper compiled within approximately 30 minutes of completion and subsequently submitted to the Balochistan government.
The initiative reflects the provincial government’s focus on strengthening merit-based recruitment and digitalisation in the health sector. It was carried out under the leadership of HSA Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan and the direct supervision of Controller of Examinations Nadeem Sajjad Kayani, with HSA’s examination and technical teams developing and implementing the testing framework.
Candidates were assessed through both theoretical knowledge examinations and practical skill tests to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of their suitability for the positions.
According to HSA, the exercise marked the first time in the academy’s history that recruitment assessments were conducted entirely through a paperless system. The digital mechanism was designed to minimise manual intervention and potential bias while ensuring secure candidate identification and efficient result processing.
The academy said the entire exercise was completed without any complaints regarding arrangements, conduct or processing of results, either during the testing period or after its conclusion.
HSA provided the testing services and technical infrastructure to the Government of Balochistan free of cost, describing the initiative as part of its institutional commitment to promoting transparency, meritocracy and digital transformation in the public sector.
Following completion of all stages of the recruitment assessment, HSA formally handed over the finalized results and merit lists to the Government of Balochistan for further processing and appointment against the available positions.
