Islamabad, August 15, 2026: The Embassy of the Philippines in Islamabad held discussions with a delegation from the Rashid Latif Khan (RLK) Group on expanding cooperation between Pakistan and the Philippines in healthcare and education.

The delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Saeed Ul Hasan Chishti, Pro Vice Chancellor of Rashid Latif Khan University, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador Emmanuel R. Fernandez.

The delegation also included Dr. Ayaz Qaiser, Registrar of RLK University, Muhammad Asif Noor, CEO of Diplomatic Insight Group (DIG), and Dr. Farhat Asif, Chairperson of DIG.

During the meeting, the participants explored potential areas of bilateral cooperation, including academic exchanges, scholarships, faculty and student mobility, and partnerships between educational and healthcare institutions in the two countries.

The Philippine Embassy also welcomed the opportunity to learn more about the upcoming Health and Education Summit Pakistan 2026, which is expected to bring together representatives from government, academia, healthcare, industry and international organisations to promote collaboration and human capital development.

The embassy expressed its readiness to maintain engagement with the RLK Group and explore mutually beneficial partnerships between Philippine and Pakistani institutions in the fields of health and education.

The discussions underscored the potential for stronger people-to-people and institutional linkages between Pakistan and the Philippines through education, healthcare cooperation and professional exchanges.
