Islamabad, August 17, 2026: The OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (OIC-COMSTECH) has extended its warmest felicitations to the Government and people of Indonesia on the country’s 81st Independence Day.
In a message, OIC-COMSTECH said Indonesia’s Independence Day provided an opportunity to celebrate the country’s achievements and its significant contribution to the progress of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) community.
The committee noted that this year’s theme, “Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil dan Makmur” (Sovereign, Just and Prosperous Indonesia), reflected Indonesia’s aspirations for continued national development and prosperity.
OIC-COMSTECH said it valued its close cooperation with Indonesia and expressed its desire to further strengthen partnerships in science, technology, innovation, higher education and capacity building.
The organisation also expressed solidarity with the people affected by the recent earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara, extending thoughts and prayers to the bereaved families and affected communities.
OIC-COMSTECH wished the Government and people of Indonesia continued unity, resilience, progress and prosperity.
