Islamabad, August 18, 2026: Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan Maciej Pisarski met with Polish cyclist Sławomir Strzelczyk, who recently completed a challenging 1,390-kilometre cycling journey from Islamabad to the Khunjerab Pass.
The journey was undertaken to celebrate the enduring friendship between Poland and Pakistan while promoting tourism, cultural exchange and people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
Ambassador Pisarski congratulated Strzelczyk on his remarkable achievement and appreciated his efforts to highlight Pakistan’s scenic beauty and strengthen the bonds of friendship between Poland and Pakistan.
The cycling expedition covered a challenging route from the federal capital to the Khunjerab Pass, one of Pakistan’s most spectacular high-altitude destinations, showcasing the country’s diverse landscapes and tourism potential.
The ambassador’s meeting with the cyclist also underscored the role of individual initiatives and cultural exchanges in bringing the people of Poland and Pakistan closer together.
