Islamabad, November 23, 2024- Senator Faisal Vawda has issued a sharp response to recent remarks by Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, reiterating his previous prediction that Khan’s political downfall would stem from within his own ranks.

In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Vawda called Bushra Bibi’s comments “dangerous” and reaffirmed his stance on PTI’s internal dynamics. “As I had said earlier, Khan Sahib’s political grave would be dug by his own people, and that is exactly what is happening now,” Vawda wrote.

Bushra Bibi’s remarks have sparked controversy, drawing strong reactions from both allies and opponents, including government officials.

Commenting on PTI’s planned protest on November 24, Senator Vawda warned of severe consequences for defying the Islamabad High Court’s ruling, which prohibits such gatherings.

“If anyone attempts to come to Islamabad on the 24th despite the court’s orders, they risk losing their positions as Members of the National Assembly (MNA) or Provincial Assembly (MPA),” Vawda stated, adding that the government is prepared to take decisive action against violators.

He further cautioned that protest participants could face house arrests, imprisonment, or transfer to high-security facilities like Mianwali Jail.

“Do not forget,” Vawda said, “those who were recently released could also be re-arrested. Don’t complain later.”

The senator’s remarks come as tensions rise ahead of PTI’s planned demonstrations, with the government implementing extensive security measures to maintain order in the federal capital.
