Ishaq Dar, Azerbaijan counterpart reaffirm strong bilateral ties

Bishkek, September 1, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting in Bishkek on Tuesday.

The two foreign ministers reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and expressed their commitment to further strengthening the bilateral partnership.

They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and discussed matters of mutual interest.

The meeting formed part of Pakistan’s diplomatic engagements on the sidelines of the SCO summit, reflecting Islamabad’s efforts to deepen cooperation with partner countries on bilateral, regional and international issues.
