Dubai, September 1, 2026: Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first against Thailand in the fifth match of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Pakistan have made no changes to their announced playing XI, with Muneeba Ali taking the wicketkeeping duties and Fatima Sana leading the side.
Thailand are led by Naruemol Chaiwai, with Nannapat Koncharoenkai named as wicketkeeper.
Pakistan and Thailand have met three times in Women’s T20Is, with both sides winning once, while their remaining encounter ended without a result.
Both teams enter the contest with mixed but competitive recent form. Pakistan have won two of their last five completed T20Is, while Thailand have secured three victories during the same period.
Pakistan’s most recent T20I assignment was a three-match away series against Sri Lanka, which they lost 2-1. The series followed Pakistan’s group-stage exit from the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
Thailand, meanwhile, are playing their third match of the ongoing continental tournament. They began their campaign against Hong Kong, China, before facing former champions India.
With Pakistan opting to bat first, the opening partnership and ability to build a competitive total will be crucial, while Thailand will look to make early inroads with the ball.
