Islamabad, September 3, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting to review preparations for Pakistan’s upcoming multilateral engagements, including the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the Foreign Office, the meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Special Secretary (UN) briefed the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on preparations and key aspects of the upcoming engagements.
Dar reviewed Pakistan’s priorities for the forthcoming multilateral engagements and provided guidance to relevant officials to ensure comprehensive preparations and effective coordination among concerned departments.
The Foreign Minister directed all relevant officials to maintain close coordination and ensure that Pakistan’s diplomatic priorities and positions are effectively advanced during the upcoming international engagements.
The 81st Session of the UN General Assembly is expected to provide Pakistan with an important platform to highlight its priorities on regional and global issues and strengthen engagement with the international community.
