Islamabad, September 15, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday received Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the two sides discussed bilateral relations, law-enforcement cooperation and regional developments.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended the meeting.
Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity and expressed the desire to further strengthen bilateral ties, particularly cooperation in law enforcement and people-to-people contacts.
The two ministers welcomed the signing of the Agreement on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons, describing it as an important milestone in bilateral legal cooperation.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.
Al-Hajjar appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and congratulated Pakistan on the signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.
Both sides expressed their desire to further expand bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
