PM appreciates outgoing French envoy’s role in strengthening bilateral ties

Islamabad, September 16, 2026: Outgoing French Ambassador to Pakistan Nicolas Galey paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday.

The prime minister appreciated Ambassador Galey’s contribution to strengthening Pakistan-France relations during his tenure.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further expanding and deepening longstanding ties with France through enhanced political dialogue, economic engagement, development cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

The two sides underscored the importance of regular high-level exchanges and continued cooperation on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed his warm regards to French President Emmanuel Macron and wished Ambassador Galey success in his future endeavours.
