Islamabad, September 20, 2026: Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has departed for New York to attend the Sustainable Development Impact Meetings 2026, organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF) from September 21 to 24.
The four-day gathering will bring together world leaders, global investors, business executives and heads of international financial institutions to discuss strategic frameworks for sustainable development and global economic resilience.
During the meetings, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh will highlight Pakistan’s economic potential, investment opportunities and initiatives aimed at improving the business environment for foreign investors.
The minister is expected to showcase government reforms, investment incentives and ease-of-doing-business measures in key sectors, including energy, technology, agriculture and manufacturing.
On the sidelines of the meetings, he will hold bilateral and multilateral meetings with international investors, corporate executives and global economic leaders to explore opportunities for increasing foreign direct investment (FDI) in Pakistan and strengthening cross-border commercial partnerships.
The visit is part of Pakistan’s efforts to promote the country as an attractive investment destination and expand international economic cooperation.
