Islamabad, September 27, 2026: Member Estate Muhammad Zaman Wattoo has directed the Land Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to announce at the earliest a date for the balloting of plots for affectees, according to documents available with Sub News.
The documents state that the Land Directorate has been instructed to immediately process allotment files pertaining to D-13, E-13 and F-13.
However, the directions specifically state that undistributed shamlat land should not be included in the balloting process under any circumstances.
The Member Estate has also sought details and lists of files relating to shamlat land that were processed in the past. A list of officers and employees who processed shamlat land files for allotment has also reportedly been sought.
According to the documents, the directions followed a complaint received by the Member Estate regarding the clearance of files for implementation involving shamlat land.
The documents further indicate that records concerning the group allegedly involved in processing and implementing shamlat-related files are being examined.
It has been stated that documentary evidence and the names of officials and other individuals allegedly involved in processing shamlat files and securing implementation will be made public after the completion of the relevant process.
The documents did not establish any wrongdoing by the officials or individuals whose names may appear in the records.
