Rawalpindi, September 27,2026: More than 71 terrorists have been killed in Operation Shaban and separate counter-terrorism operations across Balochistan over the past 96 hours, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.
According to the military’s media wing, intelligence agencies identified multiple hideouts of what it described as Indian-sponsored Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan in the Shaban area of Quetta district.
Based on credible intelligence, security forces launched an operation in Ziarat and surrounding areas on September 21. During the operation, troops engaged the terrorists and cleared multiple hideouts following intense exchanges of fire.
ISPR said 33 terrorists had been killed so far in Operation Shaban, with weapons, ammunition and explosives also recovered.
The military said the operation was intensified over the past 72 hours, resulting in the killing of another 23 terrorists. Security forces have cleared a vast area, while the clearance operation is continuing until the complete neutralisation of the threat.
In separate intelligence-based operations on September 25, security forces killed 11 terrorists in Nushki district and six members of Fitna Al-Hindustan in Mand, according to ISPR. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered.
The military said more than 71 terrorists had been killed in Operation Shaban and other areas of Balochistan during the last 96 hours.
ISPR also accused the Afghan Taliban regime of involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan and alleged that these activities were backed and sponsored by India. These allegations have been denied by India and Afghanistan, according to reporting on the development.
The military said the counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, would continue with full resolve.
Security forces and law-enforcement agencies, it added, remain committed to countering foreign-sponsored terrorism and restoring peace and stability in the country.
