Islamabad, September 29, 2026: Security forces have killed seven terrorists in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan, security sources said on Tuesday.
In Balochistan, security forces killed two terrorists during an operation in the Nokcha area of Chagai district after the militants allegedly set an empty water bowser on fire, the sources said.
According to the sources, the terrorists attempted to flee after setting the vacant water bowser ablaze, prompting security forces to launch the operation.
The militants were also allegedly involved in arson attacks at various locations along the N-40 highway, the sources added.
They said 11 terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan, who were allegedly involved in similar acts of sabotage, had been killed on August 31.
Security forces will continue operations until the last terrorist is eliminated from Balochistan, the sources said.
Separately, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Bara town of KP, killing five terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij, according to security sources.
A large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants, while their hideouts were also destroyed during the operation, the sources said.
Security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from the country and establishing lasting peace, the sources added.
Pakistan has witnessed a significant rise in cross-border terrorist incidents, particularly in KP and Balochistan, since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021.
Islamabad has repeatedly urged Kabul to prevent its territory from being used by militant organisations to carry out attacks inside Pakistan.
Pakistan maintains that the Afghan Taliban authorities have failed to take effective action against groups responsible for attacks on Pakistani security forces and civilians.
