Islamabad, October 3,2026: President Asif Ali Zardari has felicitated President of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the people of Germany on the occasion of the Day of German Unity.
In his message the President said Pakistan values Germany as a trusted partner and noted that bilateral relations continue to expand across political, economic, energy, cultural, educational, scientific and technological fields.
He also appreciated Germany’s important role within the European Union and its contribution towards strengthening Pakistan-EU relations.
The President expressed the hope of working closely with President Steinmeier to further promote the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between Pakistan and Germany for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
