Islamabad, October 3, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to review preparations for the third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC).
Ishaq Dar will co-chair the upcoming JMC session with his Bahraini counterpart during the visit of the Bahraini Foreign Minister to Pakistan next week.
The Secretary of the Economic Affairs Division briefed the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister on the agenda and key areas of bilateral cooperation to be discussed during the forthcoming session.
Ishaq Dar underscored the importance of the JMC in further expanding cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain and directed the concerned ministries to finalise preparations through close coordination.
He also called for pursuing concrete outcomes from the Bahraini Foreign Minister’s visit.
The meeting was attended by Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Acting Foreign Secretary, and secretaries and senior officials of the relevant ministries and departments.
