Rawalpindi, October 6,2026: Pakistan on Tuesday successfully conducted a test launch of the indigenously developed extended version of the Fatah-4 Ground-Launched Cruise Missile, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the weapon system was equipped with advanced avionics and modern navigational aids, enabling it to engage targets at extended ranges with high precision.
The test also validated additional technical parameters of various subsystems incorporated into the missile system to improve accuracy and enhance survivability, ISPR said.
Senior Pakistan Army officers, along with scientists and engineers from the developing agency, witnessed the test launch.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the services chiefs congratulated the teams on the successful test.
They also appreciated the technical expertise, dedication and commitment of the scientists, engineers and others involved in the development and successful testing of the Fatah-4 extended version.
