Islamabad, October 9,2026: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has congratulated Senator Amir Waliuddin Chishti on his election to the Committee on Health of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) during the 153rd IPU Assembly held in Arusha, Tanzania.
The speaker described the senator’s election as a significant achievement for Pakistan and a matter of pride for the country’s parliament. He said the development reflected Pakistan’s constructive engagement in international parliamentary forums and its commitment to strengthening parliamentary cooperation on issues of global importance.
Ayaz Sadiq expressed confidence that Senator Chishti would make a meaningful contribution to the committee’s work, drawing on his experience as chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.
