Islamabad, October 16,2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives and devastation caused by severe flooding in Istanbul, Türkiye.
In a statement, the prime minister extended his heartfelt condolences to his brother, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the bereaved families, expressing solidarity with all those affected by the tragedy.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also prayed for the swift recovery of the injured and the safe recovery of those still missing.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the brotherly people of Türkiye during this difficult time and is ready to extend all possible assistance to support the affected people and relief efforts.
