Islamabad, October 18,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the evolving regional situation and the ongoing meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers in Baghdad.
According to the Foreign Office, the two leaders exchanged views on regional developments, with Dar emphasising the importance of continued dialogue and diplomacy to address regional challenges.
The two foreign ministers agreed to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest.
