Islamabad, December 02,2024- Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, embarked on a two-day official visit to Mashhad, Iran, today to represent Pakistan at the 28th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

During the ministerial meeting, Senator Dar is set to sign the landmark “Charter for ECO Clean Energy Center,” a step aimed at fostering regional collaboration on sustainable energy solutions.

In addition to participating in the main session, the Deputy Prime Minister will engage in bilateral meetings with various ministers and dignitaries from the member states, focusing on strengthening economic and diplomatic ties.

The visit underscores Pakistan’s commitment to advancing regional cooperation within the ECO framework, which comprises 10 member countries from South Asia, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The discussions are expected to center on enhancing economic connectivity, trade, and sustainable development across the region.

The outcomes of the meeting are anticipated to reinforce Pakistan’s role in regional economic initiatives and contribute to the shared vision of economic growth and prosperity among ECO members.
