Lahore, December 22, 2024: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has taken a significant step to improve the national T20 team by introducing a new development initiative.

According to PCB sources, a specialized “Strike Force” comprising 50 young hard-hitting batters will be formed to enhance the team’s performance. The selection process will be led by former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq.

Sources reveal that the players will be selected purely on merit from across the country, focusing on identifying talented individuals with exceptional batting potential. These players will undergo intensive training to master powerful hitting, including sixes and boundaries.

The PCB aims to inject fresh talent into the national T20 squad, with the goal of preparing and integrating these players into the team within a year. This initiative is seen as a strategic move to strengthen Pakistan’s T20 lineup and ensure long-term competitiveness in the format.
