A public holiday has been declared, and the national flag will be hoisted on all public and private buildings across the country. The celebrations will begin with gun salutes in the federal and provincial capitals. A changing of the guard ceremony will take place at Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi, where representatives of the Pakistan Armed Forces will honor the great leader.

Quran Khawani and prayers will be held at the Mazar-e-Quaid for the eternal peace of Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s soul.
