Rawalpindi: Spokesperson for the PTI Negotiation Committee, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, stated that Imran Khan’s call for overseas Pakistanis to withhold remittances will continue. He also emphasized that Imran Khan has agreed to forgive all wrongdoings.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail with members of the PTI Negotiation Committee, Hamid Raza said, “Today, the negotiation committee, led by Omar Ayub, met with the founder of PTI. Imran Khan’s call for overseas Pakistanis to withhold remittances will persist. Since 1971, no party’s rights have been protected; civil and human rights were suspended, and our electoral mandate was stolen. Therefore, this call will continue.”

He added, “We aim to bring these negotiations to a logical conclusion by January 31, 2025. Omar Ayub will formally notify the government of this deadline. Imran Khan has agreed to forgive all wrongs. He has expressed full confidence in the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has called all parliamentarians and workers who have faced fascism his pride. He has also called for the immediate resolution of the Kurram Agency issue.”

Hamid Raza outlined two key demands: “First, a judicial commission should be formed to investigate the incidents of May 9 and November 26. Regarding May 9, the other side is responsible, and a commission of senior judges should be established to identify those inciting violence, with CCTV footage made public. As for November 26, our position is clear: there was gunfire, 13 martyrs, and 64 injured—an attack on Pakistan’s democracy. We are also demanding a judicial commission for November 26.”

He presented the second demand: “Our people are imprisoned in various jails, and we demand their release. This is part of our agenda, and ultimately, the release of PTI’s founder must happen through the courts, not through any deal. We have conveyed that the release of the founder of PTI is part of our agenda and should take place through constitutional, legal, and judicial means. He was supposed to be released earlier, but he was re-arrested in another case.”

Hamid Raza also discussed the Afghanistan issue, noting that Imran Khan had stated, “We cannot be part of any foreign war.” He condemned the airstrike on Afghanistan and stressed the importance of resolving all disputes with Afghanistan through dialogue.

Hamid Raza concluded by announcing that negotiations with the government will take place on December 2, during which all demands will be presented.
