Islamabad: The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has announced that 113 students have been awarded scholarships to pursue studies at top universities and undergo industrial training in China. This initiative is part of a collaborative effort between NAVTTC and the Chinese-Commercial Culture-Technical Training Employment (CCTE) program, aimed at enhancing the technical skills and employability of Pakistani youth.

The selected students, including 11 women, completed an 8-month Chinese language course and passed an online examination conducted by Chinese instructors. They will now embark on a year-long program in China, which includes both academic and practical training at prestigious universities and industrial institutions. Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to secure employment in China.

The announcement was made during a ceremony at the Center of Excellence H-9 in Islamabad, where Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, served as the chief guest. He emphasized the significance of the program in supporting the skill development of Pakistani youth and highlighted the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and China. Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui praised the program, stating that it is a matter of pride for Pakistan to have its youth trained by a leading industrial power like China. He noted that this achievement demonstrates the immense potential of Pakistani youth when given the opportunity.

In her concluding remarks, NAVTTC Chairperson Gulmina Bilal expressed her gratitude to the participants and acknowledged the special interest and support of Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and Chairman of the Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan in making this program possible.
