Islamabad, January 2, 2025: Renowned Pakistani journalist Zahid Gishkori has alleged that former Army Chief General (Retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa is currently under restrictions barring him from meeting individuals.

“The former Army Chief has been advised against meeting people and does not have the necessary clearance to do so,” Gishkori stated.

Traditionally, retired Army Chiefs in Pakistan face a two-year restriction on public engagements after leaving office. However, Gishkori noted that General Bajwa’s standard restriction period has already ended.
