Islamabad, January 3, 2025: Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai has issued a stark warning, claiming that the current government is steering Pakistan toward civil war. Addressing the media, Achakzai expressed grave concern over the deteriorating political situation in the country, emphasizing that the public is fully aware of the escalating crisis.

Achakzai criticized the government, calling it “unconstitutional and undemocratic” and accusing it of ignoring the plight of the people. He pointed out restrictions on free speech within the National Assembly, arguing that such measures further hinder meaningful political dialogue.

“For the past three years, I have been urging the government to convene a roundtable conference to address the nation’s pressing crises,” Achakzai stated. He proposed holding a three-day conference involving key institutions and media representatives to deliberate on potential solutions and foster national consensus.

He also underscored the strategic significance of the region, rich in natural resources, which he claimed has made it a target for external interference. Achakzai urged China to take the initiative by organizing a regional peace conference, involving neighboring countries, to promote stability and cooperation.

Highlighting the importance of Afghanistan’s peace and development, he called for regional collaboration to ensure long-term stability. Additionally, Achakzai stressed that all provinces—Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab—must be part of the decision-making process, advocating for inclusive governance that respects the voices of all Pakistanis.

In his concluding remarks, Achakzai urged the government to abandon destructive policies and engage in dialogue with the public, emphasizing that Pakistan’s future must be built on inclusivity, peace, and national unity.
