Mumbai, January 16, 2025: Renowned Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is reported to be out of danger after undergoing surgery following a stabbing incident at his home.

The attack occurred early Thursday morning in a high-end Mumbai neighborhood where Khan resides with his family. According to Mumbai police, the actor was injured during a scuffle with an unidentified intruder who broke into his home sometime after midnight.

“Khan has successfully come out of surgery and is stable. He is currently in recovery, and doctors are closely monitoring his progress,” stated Khan’s team in an official statement.

Dr. Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital, where the actor is admitted, provided further details about the injuries, saying, “Khan sustained a significant injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a knife lodged in his spine. Surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair leaking spinal fluid. Additional wounds on his left hand and neck were treated by the plastic surgery team.”

The actor’s family, including his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their two children, remain safe. They have yet to issue a public statement, but Khan’s team reassured fans and the media of their safety.

Mumbai’s Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam told reporters that the incident appears to have been an attempted burglary. “An argument ensued between Khan and the intruder, leading to the attack,” he said.

Police have launched an investigation and formed multiple teams to track down the suspect. No arrests have been made so far.

Khan’s team urged patience, stating, “We request the media and fans to respect the family’s privacy as this is now a police matter.”
