Khuzdar, January 26, 2025: A tragic explosion targeting a passenger bus near Khori, approximately 25 kilometers from Khuzdar City, claimed one life and left seven others critically injured on Sunday.

The bus, en route from Khuzdar to Rawalpindi, was struck by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a vehicle parked near the road. Among the injured was the bus conductor, who remains in critical condition. The wounded were swiftly transported to the Khuzdar Trauma Centre for treatment.

A heavy contingent of police, Frontier Corps, and Levies forces arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area as investigations began. Authorities have launched a detailed probe to uncover the perpetrators and motive behind the attack.

The incident underscores a disturbing surge in terror activities in Balochistan. Earlier this month, a similar blast targeting a bus in Turbat claimed four lives and injured 32 others, highlighting the increasing security challenges in the province.

Efforts are underway to address the escalating violence, with security forces intensifying operations to curb such attacks and ensure public safety.
