Rawalpindi, January 30, 2025: A Pakistani Army officer and a soldier were martyred during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, as security forces successfully eliminated six terrorists.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out on the night of January 29-30 following reports of terrorist presence in the region. Security forces effectively engaged the targets, neutralizing six militants.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, Major Hamza Israr, who was leading his troops from the front, and Sepoy Muhammad Naeem embraced martyrdom.

A sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining threats, ensuring the elimination of any other terrorists.

“Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen our determination,” the ISPR stated.
