Rawalpindi, February 4, 2025: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, while presiding over the 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, reaffirmed Pakistan’s readiness to counter any external threats with full force.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conference commenced with a solemn tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and citizens in the pursuit of national peace and stability.

The high-level forum conducted a comprehensive review of regional and internal security challenges, focusing on the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary. The commanders strongly condemned ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination as enshrined in UN Security Council resolutions.

“We remain resolute in supporting the just struggle of the Kashmiri people,” the forum stated, calling for enhanced international efforts to address the issue.

Reacting to provocative remarks by Indian military leaders, General Munir termed them irresponsible and destabilizing. He reaffirmed Pakistan Army’s preparedness to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“These hollow statements reflect India’s internal frustrations and are an attempt to divert attention from its own issues and human rights abuses,” General Munir said. “Any misadventure against Pakistan will be met with the full force of the state, InshaAllah.”

The conference also expressed deep concern over militant groups using Afghan soil to launch terrorist attacks against Pakistan, urging the Afghan interim government to take decisive action against such elements.

A significant portion of the discussions was dedicated to the socio-economic development of Balochistan, with a strong commitment to countering foreign-sponsored narratives of exclusion. The forum underscored that no entity would be allowed to disrupt peace in the province, vowing to neutralize efforts to radicalize the youth through external proxies.

COAS Munir commended the operational readiness of Pakistan’s military formations and emphasized the importance of continuous mission-oriented training, military cooperation, and joint counterterrorism exercises.

In his concluding remarks, he reaffirmed the military’s commitment to tackling national challenges with the unwavering support of the Pakistani people.

“We will fulfil our constitutional responsibilities with absolute dedication and the support of our people, InshaAllah,” General Munir asserted.
