SUB NEWS exclusive: NAB tightens noose around Malik Riaz, initiates another inquiry

Islamabad, February 4, 2025: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched a new inquiry against Malik Riaz and others over alleged corruption and embezzlement in the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) funds by Bahria Town administration.

According to details available with SUB NEWS, NAB has formally requested records from the Chairman of EOBI regarding the matter. In an official letter, NAB has sought information on key aspects, including the number of Bahria Town employees registered under EOBI, the total amount deposited by Bahria Town in EOBI funds and outstanding payments owed by Bahria Town to EOBI.

Furthermore, NAB’s Combined Investigation Team has summoned the EOBI Chairman for questioning. The bureau has also demanded a copy of the demand notice issued to Bahria Town and details of any pending legal cases related to the matter.

This latest development marks an intensified crackdown on alleged financial irregularities linked to Bahria Town’s dealings with EOBI. Stay tuned to SUB NEWS for further updates.
