Lahore, February 10, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has embarked on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai.

Invited by UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, PM Shehbaz will join global leaders, policymakers, and private sector representatives to discuss governance, innovation, and international cooperation, according to a statement from Pakistan’s Foreign Office.

Accompanying the prime minister is a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other key cabinet members, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE and fostering global partnerships.

During the summit, PM Shehbaz is scheduled to deliver a keynote address outlining Pakistan’s vision for inclusive economic growth, digital transformation, and governance reforms.

Additionally, he will engage in bilateral meetings with UAE leadership and interact with heads of state and multinational CEOs, aiming to boost economic cooperation and attract foreign investment.

“Pakistan and the UAE share a deep-rooted relationship built on mutual trust and cooperation,” the Foreign Office emphasized, highlighting the UAE’s role as a key economic and strategic partner across multiple sectors.

The visit comes at a crucial time as Pakistan seeks to expand economic collaboration and position itself as an attractive destination for foreign investment.
