Rawalpindi, February 18, 2025: At least 30 terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Tuesday.

According to the ISPR statement, the operation took place on February 17, 2025, in Sararogha, following intelligence reports about the presence of Khwarij militants.

“Security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, neutralizing 30 militants,” the statement read. A sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining threats.

The ISPR reaffirmed the military’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating that security forces remain determined to eliminate extremist elements from the country.

The latest operation comes amid an uptick in militant attacks, particularly in KP and Balochistan.

Last week, four Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred, and six terrorists were killed in an IBO in North Waziristan.

Reports indicate that KP remains the most affected province, with 27 militant attacks recorded in its settled districts recently.
