PM departs for Azerbaijan on two-day official visit

Lahore, February 23, 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday embarked on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

This marks PM Shehbaz’s second visit to Azerbaijan since assuming office in March 2024. Accompanying him are Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, along with federal ministers Jam Kamal Khan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with President Ilham Aliye, address a business forum to promote economic collaboration to discuss key areas of mutual interest, including energy cooperation, trade and investment, defence and security, education and cultural exchange and climate action initiatives.

Multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements will be signed to strengthen bilateral ties and economic collaboration between the two nations.
