Islamabad – Strong earthquake tremors were felt in various parts of Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Punjab.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake measured 5.7 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 10 kilometres beneath the surface. The epicentre was recorded near Dera Ghazi Khan.
Tremors were also felt in Lahore, Multan and other cities of the Punjab.
The tremors triggered panic among the public, with many reciting prayers as they rushed outdoors in fear. No reports of causalities or dames has received yet
