Islamabad, September 11, 2024—Senior politician and former Federal Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), in a significant late-night discussion at Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence.

The meeting centered on political matters and future strategies. Maulana Fazlur Rehman reaffirmed that JUI-F will continue to be part of the opposition. He stressed that the government will not secure support from any opposition party for legislation that contradicts the Constitution and democratic principles. He criticized the government’s actions as being contrary to the public’s interests.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman also warned that collaborating with such a government would invite public outrage. He emphasized that their only goal is to uphold the authority given by the people and vowed not to allow anyone to undermine the electoral mandate in the future.

Muhammad Ali Durrani commended Maulana Fazlur Rehman, praising him for standing on the right side of history and for his steadfast commitment to political traditions and democratic values.
