Haris, Usman added to Pakistan’s ODI squad in New Zealand

Lahore, March 27, 2025: Pakistan team management has instructed fast bowler Haris Rauf and wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan to remain in New Zealand and join the ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against the hosts.

Meanwhile, eight T20 squad players will return to Pakistan, while five others have already joined the ODI team in Napier following the completion of the T20 series. The team and coaching staff traveled from Wellington to Napier, where Rauf and Usman, originally part of the T20 squad, have been added to the 50-over format lineup.

The players who have joined the ODI squad includes Salman Ali Agha, Haris Rauf, Khushdil Shah, Irfan Khan Niazi, Abrar Ahmed, Sufiyan Muqeem, Muhammad Ali and Usman Khan.

Meanwhile, captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, and seven other ODI squad members were already in Napier.

The eight departing T20 squad members, returning via Dubai, include Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Umair Bin Yousuf, Hassan Nawaz, Mohammad Haris, Abbas Afridi, Abdul Samad and Jahandad Khan.

The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand is set to commence on March 29, as the teams gear up for an important limited-overs contest.
