Fire erupts at Serena Hotel Islamabad; swift response prevents major damage

Islamabad, April 11, 2025: A fire broke out on the top floor of the prestigious Serena Hotel in Islamabad on Friday afternoon, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

According to a spokesperson from the district administration, the fire originated on the sixth floor of the hotel. As many as eight fire tenders from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) were dispatched immediately to the scene.

CDA Fire and Rescue teams launched a rapid firefighting operation, successfully extinguishing the blaze before it could spread further. The situation was brought under control promptly, averting any significant structural damage or casualties.

While no injuries were reported, officials confirmed that Cooling Unit No. 2 was completely destroyed in the incident.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
