Islamabad, April 14, 2025: The National Assembly on Monday unanimously passed a resolution expressing unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and strongly condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.

The resolution, presented by Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, called on the United Nations to take immediate action to end the Israeli assault and to actively participate in the reconstruction of war-ravaged Gaza. Lawmakers from across party lines voiced strong support for the Palestinian cause and denounced the continued violence by Israeli forces.

“This House demands that the brutalities being committed by Israeli forces be immediately stopped,” the resolution read. “The House salutes the 60,000 Palestinian martyrs and strongly condemns the continued bombings, even after the announcement of a ceasefire. Israeli aggression reflects the failure of the international community.”

The resolution further demanded the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from all occupied Palestinian territories.

Addressing the assembly, Minister Tarar reaffirmed that Pakistan’s stance on Israel remains rooted in the vision of the country’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. “The Quaid made it unequivocally clear that Pakistan would never recognize the Zionist state. This government stands firmly by that principle,” he asserted.

Highlighting the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe, Tarar said over 65,000 Palestinians have been martyred, and more than 100,000 severely injured. “A new chapter of brutality is unfolding in Palestine, where even children, women, and the elderly are not spared,” he lamented.

He noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has consistently raised the issue of Israeli atrocities on global platforms. “The people of Palestine urgently need the support of the international community,” he said.

Drawing a parallel with Indian-occupied Kashmir, Tarar stressed that both the Palestinian and Kashmiri struggles for self-determination must be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions.

“Our national position is clear and unwavering: whether it is Palestine or Kashmir, the path to lasting peace lies in dialogue — not violence and oppression,” he concluded.
