Islamabad, April 28, 2025: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, has reaffirmed the CDA’s commitment to the development, beautification, and resolution of civic issues in Islamabad, emphasizing that all available resources are being utilized to achieve these objectives.

Speaking during a surprise visit to Sector I-12, Randhawa stressed that transforming Islamabad into a modern, digitized, tourist-friendly, and environmentally sustainable capital while meeting the city’s residential needs remains a top priority. He noted that sector development, infrastructure enhancement, beautification, and the provision of educational and recreational facilities are key focuses to address citizens’ issues at their doorstep.

During the inspection, Randhawa was accompanied by Member Administration, Member Finance, Member Planning, Member Environment, Member IT, Member Estate, Director Generals of Enforcement, Works, Environment, Sanitation, the Project Director for Sector I-12, senior officers of the Islamabad Administration, and other CDA officials.

Inspecting ongoing development activities in Sector I-12, Randhawa received briefings on the progress and instructed all concerned departments to expedite work according to project timelines. He ordered the immediate removal of illegal constructions, encroachments, and waste to ensure the timely completion of the sector’s development.

Highlighting Sector I-12’s strategic location at the junction of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Randhawa termed it a vital gateway for residents of the twin cities. He directed that any obstacles impeding development activities be resolved on a priority basis to facilitate smooth progress.

The CDA Chairman’s visit underscores the authority’s broader initiative to accelerate infrastructure development and enhance the quality of life for Islamabad’s residents.
