Lahore, April 29, 2025: Quetta Gladiators delivered a commanding performance to seal their fourth win of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, dismantling Multan Sultans by 10 wickets in the 18th match at Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday, their first-ever victory by such a margin in PSL history.

Chasing a modest target of 90, the Gladiators openers wasted no time asserting dominance. Finn Allen set the tone in the second over, hammering David Willey for two sixes and a four in a 17-run blitz. Skipper Saud Shakeel provided composed support, picking timely boundaries to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Quetta raced to 38-0 within four overs and reached 74-0 by the end of the powerplay, putting the game out of Multan’s reach. The openers made light work of the chase, completing the job with 79 balls to spare. Allen remained unbeaten on 45 off just 21 deliveries, while Shakeel contributed a rapid 42* off 20 balls, sealing the emphatic win with a towering six off Usama Mir.

Earlier, Multan Sultans imploded after choosing to bat first. The top order collapsed under early pressure, with Yasir Khan falling for five and Usman Khan dismissed for a second-ball duck in the opening over by Khurram Shahzad.

Khurram continued his lethal spell, removing Kamran Ghulam (3) and Curtis Campher (4) in quick succession to reduce Multan to 20-4 inside four overs. The middle order offered little resistance, as Faheem Ashraf struck twice to dismiss Iftikhar Ahmed (6) and Michael Bracewell (0).

The wickets kept tumbling — David Willey was bowled by Mohammad Wasim Jr for seven, while Usama Mir (11) and Mohammad Hasnain (2) were both run out in mix-ups. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan fought a lone battle with a resilient 44, but was eventually bowled by Ubaid Shah, bringing an end to Multan’s innings at just 89 in 17 overs.

Khurram Shahzad was the standout performer with a sensational 4-wicket haul, while Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim Jr chipped in with two wickets each. Ubaid Shah claimed the final scalp to cap off a near-perfect bowling effort.

The Gladiators’ all-round domination not only boosts their playoff hopes but also sends a clear message to the rest of the league.
